These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and AULAA, the video conferencing service operated by the entity identified in Section 13 ("AULAA", "we"). By accessing, registering for, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree to any portion of these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms are drafted to comply with Law No. 11 of 2008 as amended by Law No. 19 of 2016 on Electronic Information and Transactions ("EIT Law"), Law No. 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection, and other applicable laws and regulations of the Republic of Indonesia.
1Definitions
The following terms are used consistently throughout these Terms:
1.1Service
The AULAA video conferencing platform, including the web application (aulaa.co and subdomains), mobile applications, public APIs, recording features, collaborative whiteboard, and related features.
1.2User
An individual or entity that creates an account on or joins an AULAA meeting, either as a host or a participant.
1.3User Content
All materials the User uploads, sends, or creates via the Service, including but not limited to chat messages, shared files, whiteboard drawings, recordings, and meeting titles.
1.4Account
The User's personal access protected by credentials, created via direct registration or Google Sign-In.
1.5Privacy Policy
The AULAA "Privacy Policy" document, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
2Acceptance & Changes
2.1Acceptance
These Terms apply from the moment you first access the Service. Continued use signifies your ongoing acceptance of any updates.
2.2Changes
We may amend these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email and/or in-app notification at least 30 (thirty) days before the effective date, unless a shorter notice period is required by applicable law.
2.3Rejection of changes
If you reject changes, you must discontinue use and may close your account before the effective date. Use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated version.
3Eligibility & Account Registration
3.1Minimum age
The Service is intended for Users aged 13 (thirteen) or older. Users aged 13 to 17 must obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian before creating an account.
3.2Accuracy of registration data
You must provide truthful, accurate, and current information when registering and keep such information up to date.
3.3Account security
You are fully responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials and all activity occurring under your account. You must promptly notify AULAA of any suspected unauthorized access.
3.4One account per person
Each individual may have only one personal account. Accounts may not be transferred without AULAA written consent.
4Scope & Nature of the Service
4.1Service provision
AULAA provides a web- and mobile-based video conferencing Service, including features such as video/audio calls, chat, collaborative whiteboard, screen sharing, and optional recording.
4.2Current status: free
On the effective date of these Terms, all Service features are available at no charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans in the future, subject to:• Notice to registered Users at least 60 (sixty) days before the effective date.• Features previously available for free will remain available during a reasonable transition period (minimum 90 days).• Users are not obligated to upgrade and may choose to discontinue use without penalty.
4.3Beta features
Certain features may be marked "Beta", "Coming Soon", or otherwise indicated as in development. Such features are provided without full stability guarantees and may change, be suspended, or discontinued without formal notice.
4.4Availability
We endeavor to provide the highest possible Service availability, but do not guarantee the Service will always be free from downtime, network disruption, or scheduled maintenance. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated where feasible.
5Acceptable & Prohibited Use
The Service is available for both legitimate personal and business communication. The following practices are strictly prohibited:
5.1General prohibitions
You may not use the Service to:• Engage in activity that violates the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, including but not limited to the EIT Law, Anti-Pornography Law, Copyright Law, and PDP Law.• Send, display, or distribute content containing hate, racial/religious/ethnic discrimination, explicit violence, or pornography.• Harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm other Users.• Spread false information (hoaxes), fraud, or hate speech as defined in Article 28 of the EIT Law.• Send spam, phishing, or distribute malware.
5.2Technical prohibitions
You may not:• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble Service source code.• Scan or test AULAA systems for vulnerabilities without prior written authorization.• Perform automated scraping, web crawling, or data extraction at scale that burdens infrastructure.• Access other Users' accounts without permission or attempt to bypass authentication mechanisms.• Use bot accounts, multi-accounting, or automation tools to manipulate Service metrics.
5.3Meeting abuse
Hosts may not use recording or screen sharing features to record other Users without their knowledge and consent. Recording notification features must remain enabled per default Service configuration.
5.4Consequences of violation
Violations of this Section 5 may result in immediate account suspension, content removal, and/or reporting to law-enforcement authorities under applicable legal procedures.
6User Content & License
6.1Ownership
You retain all intellectual property rights in User Content you create, upload, or share via the Service. AULAA claims no ownership of User Content.
6.2Limited license to AULAA
To enable provision of the Service, you grant AULAA a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license, sublicensable to sub-processors as described in the Privacy Policy, solely to: store, copy, display, and transmit User Content to meeting participants you have invited. This license terminates when User Content is removed from the Service. For clarification: the scope of "store" applies only to User Content that AULAA actually processes and stores (e.g., chat messages, meeting titles). Audio/video streams are never stored on AULAA servers and are only relayed in real time between participants. Recording files generated by the recording feature are stored exclusively on the User's device; AULAA obtains no copy and holds no license to such recording files.
6.3Responsibility for content
You are fully responsible for the legality, accuracy, and appropriateness of User Content you submit via the Service. You warrant that you have the legal right to share such content.
6.4Content removal by AULAA
AULAA may remove User Content reasonably suspected of violating law or these Terms, with or without prior notice, pursuant to Article 40 of the EIT Law.
7AULAA Intellectual Property
All source code, logos, the "AULAA" trademark, interface designs, documentation, and other materials that are part of the Service are owned by AULAA and/or its licensors, and are protected by the Copyright Law of the Republic of Indonesia and international treaties. Nothing in these Terms grants you the right to use AULAA trademarks, logos, or proprietary materials without prior written consent.
8Third-Party Integrations (Google OAuth)
The Service provides a Sign in with Google option pursuant to the OAuth 2.0 protocol. Use of that integration is subject to:
8.1Google terms
In addition to these Terms, use of Google Sign-In is subject to the Google Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy applicable in your jurisdiction.
8.2Data scope
The scope of data AULAA accesses via Google APIs is detailed in Section 6 of the Privacy Policy (Google Data & Limited Use Policy).
8.3Revocation of access
You may revoke AULAA access to your Google Account at any time via https://myaccount.google.com/permissions or from AULAA account settings, without affecting the existence of your AULAA account.
9Suspension & Termination
9.1Termination by you
You may close your account at any time via account settings. Data deletion is subject to the retention provisions of the Privacy Policy.
9.2Termination by AULAA
AULAA may suspend or terminate accounts where:• A material violation of these Terms has occurred.• The account is proven to be used for illegal activity.• Ordered by competent law-enforcement authorities.• The account has been inactive for 24 (twenty-four) consecutive months.For non-emergency violations, AULAA will provide notice and an opportunity to respond within 7 calendar days, unless the violation endangers the integrity of the Service or other Users.
9.3Effect of termination
Upon termination, you lose access to the Service and related User Content may be deleted per the retention schedule. Provisions that by their nature survive termination (e.g., limitation of liability, governing law) continue to apply.
10Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
10.1Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. AULAA does not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet every User expectation.
10.2Limitation of damages
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AULAA is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, or reputational harm — arising out of or relating to use of the Service.
10.3Maximum cap
AULAA aggregate liability for any claim arising under these Terms is limited to the greater of: (i) total subscription fees paid by the User in the preceding 12 months (if any), or (ii) IDR 1,000,000 (one million Indonesian Rupiah).
10.4Exceptions
The limitations in this Section 10 do not apply to liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or violations that may not be limited under applicable law.
11Indemnification
You agree to release, defend, and indemnify AULAA, its affiliates, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, expense (including reasonable attorney fees), and liability arising out of: (i) your breach of these Terms; (ii) User Content you submit; or (iii) your violation of third-party rights.
12Force Majeure
AULAA is not liable for failure or delay in performing obligations under these Terms caused by circumstances reasonably beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, strikes, nationwide internet disruptions, power outages, governmental actions, or pandemics.
13Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
13.1Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
13.2Negotiation
The parties shall first attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiation within 30 (thirty) calendar days from the date one party gives written notice of the dispute.
13.3Arbitration
If negotiation fails, disputes shall be finally and bindingly resolved through the Indonesian National Board of Arbitration (BANI) in Jakarta in accordance with the prevailing BANI Procedural Rules. The language of arbitration is Indonesian. The arbitration award is final and binding upon the parties.
13.4Interim relief exception
This does not foreclose either party from applying to a competent court for interim relief to avoid irreparable harm.
14General Provisions
14.1Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any supplemental policies referenced, constitute the entire agreement between you and AULAA and supersede all prior agreements.
14.2Severability
If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
14.3No waiver
AULAA failure to enforce any provision does not waive its right to enforce that provision later.
14.4Assignment
You may not assign rights or obligations under these Terms without AULAA written consent. AULAA may assign its rights with notice to you.
14.5Language
In the event of inconsistency in interpretation between the Indonesian, English, and Japanese versions, the Indonesian version prevails.
